Desktop overview
CodexUse is an account-first control plane for the Codex App. One screen holds your saved accounts and profiles, Codex App window controls, the auto-roll policy, Accounts Pool, and CLI status; Connect holds Accounts Pool, Telegram, Cloud Sync, and Model Providers; Settings holds preferences, CLI status, support diagnostics, and the feature catalog.
Profiles
Connect OpenAI accounts, or bind a profile to an OpenAI-compatible provider, and switch between them without re-auth.
Codex Apps
Launch, focus, stop, restart, and inspect profile-matched Codex App windows.
Settings
Preferences, CodexUse CLI status, support diagnostics, and the feature catalog.
Codex Apps
Codex Apps is the primary surface. It matches Codex App windows to your saved profiles and gives each one local launch, focus, stop, restart, and live-state controls.
Profiles & switching
A profile is either an OpenAI account or a custom model provider, never both. Each keeps its own auth and config, so you switch without logging out.
Settings & tooling
Settings covers preferences (theme, usage display, close behavior), CodexUse CLI status, support diagnostics, and the feature catalog. Codex’s own settings — model defaults, approvals, sandbox mode, MCP servers — live in the config.toml of each profile’s Codex home and are edited by hand.
