Projects & sessions

Projects are the folder-based side of CodexUse. Chat and Agent stay separate, so everyday conversation and machine-side helpers do not clutter project history.

Chat, Agent, and Projects

Use Chat for normal conversation, switch to Agent when you want CodexUse to inspect files, run commands, or make changes on the machine, and use Projects when the work belongs to a specific folder and should keep its own repo-bound history.

Projects are folders

Pick a folder and CodexUse treats it as a project. Sessions live inside the project, not inside a profile.

Session list

• Search sessions by title or project.
• Favorite important threads.
• Rename or delete sessions as needed.

Pinning

Pin projects and important sessions so active work stays visible at the top of the list.

Running sessions

See currently running tasks and jump back into the conversation without hunting for the tab.
